ScorchedEarthDesigns is another new-to-me vendor and I lovelovelove what she's doing with ceramics.  
 
This focal comes from a real black and white photograph of Marie Curie seated in her lab.  It's ceramic, and needs to be treated gently because of it (don't store it with other necklaces that can smash against it, please!).  The black beads are onyx.  The bone white beads are stone.  We paired them with the photograph because it has a sepia tinge.
